May-B1 from Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rising is a must-run Supporter for evolution decks, grabbing two Pokémon while recycling hand clutter for steadier Mega and Stage 2 setups.

There's nothing more tilting in Pokémon TCG Pocket than keeping a hand that goes nowhere while your opponent curves out like they've got a script. That's why May-B1 has been everywhere since Mega Rising dropped, and if you've been grinding packs you've probably felt the same relief when she shows up. She doesn't "draw" you into luck; she lets you trade junk for the exact Pokémon you actually need, right now, and in a 20-card deck that kind of control is priceless. If you're the type who likes having options (and hates getting stuck), it's the same reason people look for reliable services like U4GM when they want game currency or items without the runaround.

What the card really does in play

May-B1 is basically a two-step swap tool. You play her, reveal two Pokémon from your deck, and put them into your hand. Then you send a Pokémon from your hand back into the deck for each one you grabbed. So no, you're not going up in total cards. You're upgrading what those cards are. It feels like cleaning out a clogged pipe: the hand starts moving again. The small detail that matters is timing. You can grab the missing link in an evolution line, then tuck away dead copies you can't use yet, and your next draw suddenly has a real chance to matter.

Why evolution decks care so much

Stage 2 lines are where this Supporter earns her slot. You'll see it fast with Mega Blaziken ex: sometimes you open the flashy piece and none of the steps, or you've got Basics stacked and no way to climb. May-B1 smooths that out. It's stronger than generic draw when you're hunting for a specific Pokémon and you can't afford to wait. Still, she's not magic. You need enough Pokémon density to make her consistent, and you need hands with "throwaway" Pokémon you don't mind shuffling back. If your list is too lean, you'll feel the whiff and it's rough.

Building with May-B1 without bricking yourself

If you're slotting May-B1 in, your deck has to meet her halfway. First, keep your Pokémon count healthy so the reveals hit often. Second, plan the swaps: extra Basics, duplicate Stage 2s, and situational techs become "currency" you can trade back into the deck. Third, pair her with Rare Candy lines where grabbing both the Basic and the finisher in one turn actually changes the game. People also like her in slower shells—Darkrai ex or Hydreigon-style lists—because finding a one-off tech at the right moment is what wins those matches. Crafting helps too; 70 Pack Points is doable, and it's better than waiting forever for the pull.

Turn-two pressure and keeping up with the meta

In a speed meta, May-B1 on turn two can be the difference between "I'm still digging" and "I'm attacking with a plan." It doesn't look flashy on paper, but it quietly turns variance into repeatable lines, and that's how you climb. If you're trying to get your setup games online more often—testing lists, swapping techs, or just wanting a smoother start—keeping your resources sorted matters, and some players even prefer going in with Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts so they can jump straight into building and playing instead of waiting on luck.
